Paraíba, No.  1000, Térreo, Funcionários, in the City of Belo Horizonte, State of Minas Gerais, CEP 30130-145 respects the privacy of everyone who visits this website and is committed to maintaining the integrity and security of the personal information of Visitors.  LEXUNIVERSAL values transparent and accessible communication with its Visitors, presenting its Privacy Policy (“Policy”), in accordance with these values and the Brazilian Law.

(ii) Brazilian Law: all legal rules in force, or in vacatio legis (total or partial), related to the protection of Personal Data, including, but not limited to, the Brazilian Federal Constitution; General Data Protection Law (Law No. 13,709/2018); the Brazilian Civil Rights Framework for the Internet (Law No. 12,965/2014); Regulatory Decree of the Brazilian Civil Rights Framework for the Internet (Decree No. 8,771/2016); Civil Code (Law No. 10,406/2002), Consumer Protection Code (Law No. 8,078/90); Access to Information Law (Law No. 12,527/2011);

(iii) General Data Protection Law - “LGPD”: provides for the Processing of Personal Data, in physical and digital media, by an individual or a legal entity governed by public or private law;

(iv) Personal Data: information related to an individual, identified or identifiable;

(v) Sensitive Data: data on racial or ethnic origin, religious belief, political opinion, affiliation to a union or organization of a religious, philosophical or political nature, data relating to health or sexual life, genetic or biometric data that, together with Personal Data, will be called Personal Data;
(vi) Processing: any operation involving Personal Data, such as those related to the collection, production, reception, classification, use, access, reproduction, transmission, distribution, processing, filing, storage, elimination, evaluation or control of information, change, communication, transfer, dissemination or extraction;
(vii) Controller: within the scope of this Policy, and within the scope of the relationship with Visitors, LEXUNIVERSAL, which is responsible for decisions regarding the Processing of their Personal Data;

(viii) Operator: individual or legal entity governed by public or private law, who carries out the Processing of Personal Data on behalf of the Controller;

(ix) Data Subject: within the scope of this Policy, Visitors, individuals to whom the Personal Data that are object of the Processing refers to.

SECTION 2 - Collected Data
2.1.    LEXUNIVERSAL processes Personal Data that is voluntarily provided by Visitors, through the website, as per the cases listed below and the corresponding Personal Data:
2.2.1. Registration to receive newsletters: in this case, only the Visitor's name and email will be collected and stored by LEXUNIVERSAL.
2.2.2. Accreditation of partner office: in this case, only the email of the Visitor and/or User will be collected and stored by LEXUNIVERSAL at the first moment.  But to complete the accreditation, it will be necessary to provide all the data requested by LEXUNIUVERSAL
2.2.3. Visitor Access Data, such as, but not limited to: information collected through the use of the website, such as screen and resolution information; internet protocol (IP) address, pages visited before and after access, average time spent, date and location of access to LEXUNIVERSAL’s website.
2.4. Specifically in relation to the access data collected by LEXUNIVERSAL, these can be obtained using Cookies and similar technologies, as per Section 10 of this Policy.  The implementation and access of Cookies is intended to improve the quality of the information provided to LEXUNIVERSAL, making the Visitors' experience increasingly improved, according to their interests and demands.

SECTION 3 - Purposes for Use of Personal Data
3.1. Personal Data will be used by LEXUNIVERSAL to improve our service to Visitors, including access to the website content and contact with LEXUNIVERSAL.  We list the specific purposes below:
• Sending of newsletter to registered Visitors;
• Accreditation of partner offices;
• Analysis of the performance of LEXUNIVERSAL’s website, measurement of the audience, evaluation of website access and use statistics, its resources and functionalities;
• Analysis of Visitors' browsing habits and the way in which the Visitor arrived at LEXUNIVERSAL’s webpage for the post of more relevant content;
• Analysis related to website security and information security, preventing errors/technical failures;

4.1. Visitors’ Personal Data may be shared in accordance with the purposes described in section 3. LEXUNIVERSAL is committed to doing so only with partners that employ a high level of information security, establishing contractual sections that do not violate the provisions of this Policy.  In addition, we have listed below the hypothesis of sharing your information:
4.1.1. With consultancy companies and law firms, to protect our interests, including cases of judicial, arbitration and administrative proceedings;
4.1.2. With Service Providers for the regular operation of LEXUNIVERSAL's activities;
4.1.3. Upon court order or at the request of Public or Regulatory Authorities who have authority for requisition;
4.1.4. With public bodies and authorities, for the purpose of complying with legal and/or regulatory obligations.
4.2. Considering the nature of a website, the Personal Data of Visitors may be transferred to other countries, for cloud storage purposes, due to the location of LEXUNIVERSAL's servers, a situation with which the Visitor is aware and agrees.
4.3. Personal Data may be shared with partner offices, located in different countries, for the purpose of practicing the corresponding and/or partner law activities.  By agreeing to this Policy, the Visitor is aware that other countries may not have data protection laws equivalent to that of Brazil.

5.1. LEXUNIVERSAL undertakes to adopt all reasonable efforts, considering the available and applicable technological solutions, to preserve the integrity and security of the Personal Data of Visitors.
5.2. LEXUNIVERSAL uses the principle of privacy by design, which means that we think about privacy prior to the performance of our activities, respecting and protecting Personal Data in our internal procedures.   
5.3. LEXUNIVERSAL adopts high standards of information security to maintain the confidentiality and security of your Personal Data.  Nevertheless, it is not possible to absolutely guarantee the non-occurrence of errors on the website, security incidents, violations, and unauthorized access, considering that internet security practices are constantly evolving. It should be noted, however, that LEXUNIVERSAL is committed to monitoring developments and implementing security improvements constantly, if possible and reasonable.

SECTION 6 - Retention Period
6.1. LEXUNIVERSAL will maintain the Personal Data of Visitors until it reaches the purposes described in Section 4 and/or to comply with legal and regulatory obligations arising from the activities available on our website.
6.2. Visitors can also request the deletion of their data by contacting us, through the Customer Service channels described in Section 10.  LEXUNIVERSAL undertakes to make all reasonable efforts to meet these requests, if applicable, in the shortest possible time and in compliance with the Brazilian law.
6.3. LEXUNIVERSAL reserves the right to keep the data necessary to comply with the Brazilian Law stored on its servers, even when faced with a request for exclusion by the Visitor.
